[ Loved-Up Pop-Up ]

Having seen our previous mural work, Etad Jewellery contacted us to create an identity that would bring together a collection of creatives in a pop-up exhibition/shop. The pop up would become Loved-Up Pop-Up.

The pop-up was arranged over a couple of weeks spanning Valentine's Day. It was based in 'The Hackney Shop' - a shop space known for pop-up events in central Hackney. With a completely blank canvas, we wanted to create something that really helped transfer the overall natural feel of items on display.

The identity needed to attract, but not take away from the impact of the beautifully crafted pieces on show. We realised this in the Loved-Up Pop-Up wall murals and window display, by utilising hand drawn type and 'ink-drawn' illustrations. The illustrations of foxes and birds were inspired by jewellery that used their forms. The 'ink illustrations' as well as the 'apricot' and deep turquoise colours (reminiscent of the copper in various items in the show) gave a slight romanticised feel, without ostracising  those who visited without a romantic notion. The design easily transferred to the literature they required, such as flyers, posters and social media imagery.

The pop-up ended up being extended beyond it's original dates, and we had our name in the line-up one of the 'exhibiting' participants.
